The folly of 3 years plan

In the eighties, UK companies were often accused of not knowing how to plan for the future. In contrast, stories abounded of Japanese organisations planning their progress for a hundred years or more. I have no idea whether this was true or not, but the success of Japanese industry was nailed to a meticulous long term view of the future.

Is London the most innovative city in The World?

We’re seeing more companies emerge from London’s burgeoning tech scene, as international players, with extraordinary growth potential. There’s now a very good argument to be made for London being the most innovative city in the world; giving birth to a great diversity of innovations, as it has done in the past. As with Silicon Valley’s success, a large part of this is down to the arrival of international talent. Did you know that 51% of Silicon Valley’s founders are foreign-born?
